Cesc Fabregas was on target for Chelsea as they beat Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday.
Mohamed Salah opened the scoring for the Premier League side early on after he tapped the ball in from eight yards, following good work from new signing Diego Costa.
Jose Mourinho’s side doubled their lead just before the half-hour mark when new signing Cesc Fabregas was on hand to curl home a delightful free-kick from around 30 yards.
The Dutch side came close as Zakaria Labyad came close, but his effort could only hit the crossbar, moments before Chelsea wrapped up the game through Nemanja Matic.
Uros Djurdjevic did get a consolation goal for Vitesse, but it was too little too late in a another successful pre-season victory for Jose Mourinho’s side.
