Barcelona struggling to sell former Arsenal midfielder

Barcelona are struggling to sell former Arsenal man Alex Song, who is free to leave the Nou Camp this summer after being told by new boss Luis Enrique.

The Catalan giants are under somewhat of a rebuilding process at present and have already sold the likes of Victor Valdes, Cesc Fabregas, Alexis Sanchez and Bojan Krkic this summer, but they are struggling to receive a single offer for Song.

Song arrived at the club back in 2012 from Arsenal but has failed to establish himself as a first team regular, mainly down to the form of Spanish international Sergio Busquets.

Former club Arsenal has been linked in Spanish press, whilst Italian duo AC Milan and Inter Milan had been noted as showing soft interest.

But, as the La Liga giants returned to training this week, Song looks set to remain at the club.

The Cameroon international has three years left on his current deal at the club, but is unlikely to feature under Luis Enrique next season, who plans to use both Javier Mascherano and Busquets in the defensive midfield area.
