Arsenal and Spurs target allowed to leave PSG

Paris Saint Germain boss Laurent Blanc has confirmed that Adrien Rabiot will leave the club this summer after admitting defeat in negotiating a new contract with the midfielder.

The young midfielder has less than one year remaining on his current contract at PSG but with the addition of Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle United in January; he has since lost his place in the starting eleven.

A lack of playing time has seen the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and Italian giants Juventus to show interest.

And, it is now understood that Rabiot could leave the Parisien club in a similar way as Kingsley Coeman did earlier this summer, joining Juventus on a free contract, something which Blanc has discussed.

“The problem was the contractual situation,” Blanc told Tuttosport. “Coman could not leave for another French side but he was free to move abroad. The Italians [Juventus] were clever, saw that we were not in a position of strength and took advantage of the situation.”

“Rabiot is likely to be the same thing; we are not in a position of strength regarding his contract.”
