Juve in crisis talks as United edge closer to Vidal

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri will reportedly hold urgent talks with the club’s CEO Beppe Marotta today to draw up a list of replacements for Manchester United target Arturo Vidal.

According to Italian source TuttoSport, the Turin giants believe the Chile international’s future could be decided in the next 48 hours and are already making plans for his potential switch to Old Trafford.

The report claims Juve will renew their interest in Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin if they fail to stop Vidal joining the Red Devils in a mega-money move, and reveals that the Serie A champions are hanging on to his services by a thread.

While Liverpool are also said to have expressed an interest in the 27-year-old, bitter rivals United are believed to be willing to pay £39.7million to clinch his signature – which is £10m more than the Merseyside outfit have offered so far.

The final decision will ultimately rest with the player himself, as Juve are reluctant to hold on to anyone who would rather be elsewhere.

Vidal has refused to rule out a move to the Premier League when quizzed about it on several occasions in his homeland this summer, offering his suitors fresh hope.

Allegri ,who replaced Antonio Conte earlier this month, will aim to learn more from today’s meeting.
