Football Express News understands that Liverpool are set to announce the signing of Dejan Lovren after agreeing a fee with Southampton.
It has been a busy summer in terms of spending at Anfield so far with boss Brendan Rodgers having already completed moves for Emre Can, Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic.
And, it is understood that Rodgers’ spending is about to get even bigger with the announcement that Croatian international Dejan Lovren has completed his move to the club and will follow Lambert and Lallana from Premier League rivals Southampton.
Lovren has been linked with a move to Anfield since the end of last season but the Saints refused to allow him a move last month.
However, the central defender spoke out about the decision and has since forced a move to the league’s runners-up.
An announcement is now due to be made on Liverpool’s official club website, which could be followed by a similar statement regarding the completion of another signing – Divock Origi from Lille.
