Football Express News understands that Arsenal are ready to announce the signing of Calum Chambers from Southampton.
The young defender made his senior debut for Southampton in 2012 during a league cup game against Stevenage and he has since established himself as one of the most promising young players in the English game.
23 appearances for the Saints last season saw Chambers earn a call-up to the English U19 side, with whom he made a big impression.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been a keen admirer of the youngster and a fee of £7m has been agreed, prompting the Gunners to ready an announcement of the signing.
Chambers completed a medical on Saturday morning in London.
Southampton have already sold a number of their top performers, with Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert having joined Liverpool, whilst Luke Shaw joined Manchester United earlier this summer.
