Football Express News understands that Antoine Griezmann is closing in on a move from Real Sociedad to Atletico Madrid.
The French attacking midfielder has been heavily linked with a move from La Real this summer after impressing for the La Liga club last season and the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid have been the key interested clubs in recent weeks.
Whilst, North London side Spurs have been extremely keen, a bid of £15m was not enough to tempt Sociedad into selling their prized asset, whilst they cited a desire to only sell the youngster for his release clause, set at £25m.
That, according to Spanish reports, is set to be paid by Atletico Madrid, who, after selling the likes of Diego Costa, are in need of bolstering their attacking options.
It is understood that Griezmann is saying his goodbyes to the Basque club this Saturday lunchtime and is set to join the Spanish champions in the coming days.
