Should Juventus reject the proposal or not come to a decision by the end of the week, the Red Devils chief has vowed to duck out of the race and shift his attentions to the pursuit of other summer transfer targets.

Vidal’s other keen Premier League fanciers – Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool –  are understood to be poised and ready to jump in feet-first and gazump United’s final offer or at least match with a like-for-like proposal, in the hope of winning what has materialised into a somewhat gruelling race for the Chilean.
