Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has left the club’s pre-season tour of the United States for immediate transfer business.
Woodward spent the weekend with the English club in Los Angeles and recently issued a press conference to the club’s fans about more potential signings this summer, telling MUTV that they should ‘watch this space’.
The Red Devils have been linked with a number of potential signings after completing moves for Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw recently.
Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels is one of those players expected to arrive, whilst Edinson Cavani of Paris Saint Germain is currently in England trying to force a move to the Premier League.
United boss Louis van Gaal will remain in the United States, preparing to face LA Galaxy, Roma, Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
Woodward left United’s tour of America last summer in a similar move, completing the signature of Marouane Fellaini.
