Chelsea legend advises “stick a few quid on Uruguay”

Luis Suarez

Former Chelsea playmaker Alan Hudson has suggested it would be wise to back Liverpool’s Luis Suarez to win the World Cup by urging football fans to “stick a few quid on Uruguay.”

When Uruguay play their World Cup fixtures this summer all eyes will be on their highly prized striker, Premier League top goal-scorer and PFA Player of the Year, Luis Suarez.

The 27-year-old Liverpool talisman has displayed outstanding form this season under boss Brendan Rodgers and is reported to be a target for La Liga giant Real Madrid.

The player is odds-on to make his impact in Brazil too, with many football professionals backing him to be the star of the World Cup.

Former Chelsea playmaker Alan Hudson, who is now a football pundit, described Suarez as a winner, in more ways than one.

Hudson hinted that football betting enthusiasts would do well to invest their pennies at the bookies on Uruguay to win the World Cup.

He told Football Express News: “Suarez might look like a Cheltenham Gold Cup winner, but he plays like a World Cup winner.

“In other words, stick a few quid on Uruguay this summer.”

Uruguay form part of Group D along with England, Costa Rica and Italy. They kick off their World Cup campaign this Saturday against Costa Rica.
