Football Express News understands that Real Madrid have completed the signing of AS Monaco’s James Rodriguez.
The Colombian attacking midfielder was already a star heading to the World Cup this summer in Brazil but his performances for Colombia which saw him win the Golden Boot award with six goals has further enhanced his reputation as one of the most exciting players in World football.
And, European champions Real Madrid have done all they can to secure a move for him this summer, agreeing a £65m deal with Monaco for his services.
Ligue 1 club Monaco had been reluctant to sell the former Porto man but the inclusion of a player, either Pepe, Casemiro or Fabio Coentrao, changed their minds and they accepted Madrid’s proposal, though the name of the player is yet to be announced.
The Colombian international is to sign a five-year deal at the Santiago Bernabeu which would see him earn around £7m per season.
