Football Express News understands that Arsenal and Southampton will renew talks over midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin on Monday.
The Gunners have been strongly linked with the French international since the end of the season as they seek to bolster their options ahead of what Arsene Wenger hopes will be a fruitful season at the Emirates, following on from their FA Cup win in May.
Wenger has been interested in other midfield options this summer, but his failure to convince Sami Khedira join the club from Spanish giants Real Madrid has now seen a move for Schneiderlin.
Preliminary talks have already taken place between Arsenal and the Saints, but they had stalled in recent weeks, although Football Express News understands that both club’s will sit down to discuss a transfer fee on Monday.
Southampton want around £18m for the midfielder, but the Gunners are keen to push closer to the £15m mark.
