Football Express News understands that Manchester United have been told by Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal to hold off in their bid to sign him.
The Chilean World Cup star is currently enjoying a holiday with his family and friends and will return to pre-season training with Juventus in the coming weeks.
Vidal, who has enjoyed recent successes with the Turin side, winning the Serie A title last season has been subject to heavy links to Manchester United, who have attempted on several occasions to negotiate a fee with the Juve and the player himself.
Dutch boss Louis van Gaal is said to be desperate to sign the midfielder but the Premier League side are now understood to have been warned off until Vidal finishes his holiday.
Agent Fernando Felicevich remains confident that a deal will go through and is hopeful that Vidal will join his other client – Alexis Sanchez in the Premier League after the former Barcelona man joined Arsenal two weeks ago.
