Monaco to decide on Rodriguez swap option

Football Express News understands that Ligue 1 side Monaco will decide on which Real Madrid players will be included in a swap deal for James Rodriguez.

The Monaco attacking midfielder was already a star heading to the World Cup this summer in Brazil but his performances for Colombia which saw him win the Golden Boot award with six goals has further enhanced his reputation as one of the most exciting players in World football.

And, European champions Real Madrid have done all they can to secure a move for him this summer, agreeing a £65m deal with Monaco for his services.

Ligue 1 club Monaco had been reluctant to sell the former Porto man but the inclusion of a player/s, changed their minds and they accepted Madrid’s proposal.

Monaco have options, they can select Casemiro plus one more Madrid player, with Diego Lopez, Fabio Coentrao, Pepe and even Sami Khedira all linked.

It is now understood that the French side have made their decision and will inform the Spanish giants over the weekend, prompted Rodriguez’s deal to go through in the coming days.

The Colombian international is expected to sign a five-year deal at the Santiago Bernabeu which would see him earn around £7m per season.
