Falcao agent wants to force move to City

Monaco striker Radamel Falcao’s agent is reportedly trying to engineer a shock switch to Manchester City.

The Blues have an embarrassment of riches in the final third of the pitch, with Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic already on the books.

However, according to LeSport10, ‘super agent’ Jorge Mendes is anxious to find his client a new club during the summer transfer window and has identified the Premier League champions as prime candidates.

The report reveals that Mendes has a good working relationship with City and has already made contact with the club to sound out the idea of the Colombia international joining the club.

No deal can be struck until Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala’s imminent switch to the Etihad Stadium is done and dusted, but once the Frenchman is in place they can turn their attention to the exciting prospect of signing the Monaco hitman.

LeSport10 believes an official bid could be placed on the table within a matter of weeks.

The main concern for City would be the physical condition of the 28-year-old. A serious knee injury sustained in January ruled him out for the rest of the Ligue 1 season and the World Cup.

If the deal becomes a reality the English club will almost certainly insist upon a medical which leaves no stone unturned.
