Balotelli will start US tour with Milan

MARIO BALOTELLI

AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli will join the Serie A club’s pre-season US-tour despite reports hotting up that strongly suggest he is on the verge of signing for Arsenal.

The wayward Italian is said to have fallen out of favour with the powers that be in Milan and feeling misplaced since his move from Manchester City last summer. As such, he is looking to move on with three years left to run on his contract.

Balotelli had reportedly been offered to Arsene Wenger’s Gunners just days ago for the bargain price of £14m – which serves as an indication the Italian giants are keen to shift the fiery forward off their books before the summer transfer window draws to a close.

The ever-controversial 23-year-old is currently away on holiday in Miami with Belgian model fiancee Fanny Neguesha and due to return home next week.  He has recently fallen foul of the media once again by posting a photograph of himself wielding a gun to his ‘haters’ on social media platform Instagram, then deleting the post following backlash from AC Milan for an act they deemed unprofessional and an embarrassment to the club.

Milan boss Filippo Inzaghi has confirmed Balotelli will be heading straight back to the USA with his Milan team-mates to take part in Milan’s pre-season friendlies, which kick off with the Guinness International Champions Cup fixture in New York.

Despite Balotelli’s plans for the coming few weeks, there is a month left to run on the transfer window and possible he will cut short his US-tour to shake up the Premier League with what would inevitably be a highly disputed return.
