Dani Alves has insisted that he wants to ‘see out the contract that he signed’ at Barcelona, according to reports from Spanish newspaper MARCA.

The Brazilian full-back is back training with the Spanish giants following a disappointing World Cup with his national team and is reported to have held discussions with new boss Luis Enrique about his future.

The 31-year-old, who has made close to 300 appearances for Barcelona since moving from Sevilla in 2008, spoke about his future at the club upon his return and refuted any talk of a summer exit.

“I’m very happy at Barça. We’ve had some wonderful years, the last few not so much, but it’s time for us to enjoy the good times again at this club,” he said.

Alves has one year remaining on his current deal and has repeatedly been linked with a move to French champions Paris Saint-Germain in both French and Spanish press.

A move would see him link up with international team mates Thiago Silva, Maxwell and David Luiz but these latest quotes suggest the defender will stay at Camp Nou where he has won four La Liga titles and two Champions League medals so far.
