Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos will be offered a new contract by Real Madrid which will see him join the likes of Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo as the best paid players at the club.
Spanish daily Marca report that the Spanish World Cup winner will be heavily rewarded for his performances last season and be offered a brand new bumper deal, which will ultimately see him remain at the club for a significant time and be paid similar amounts to Bale and Ronaldo.
Ramos was in superb form last season and played an important part in Madrid’s Champions League success, scoring in the final against bitter rivals Atletico Madrid.
Many are now tipping the former Sevilla man to win the Ballon d’Or at the end of the year, a prediction that will be solidified if he goes on to win a successive World Cup with Spain this summer in Brazil.
Ramos will receive around £8m-per-year, pushing him close to Welsh winger Bale.
