Football Express News understands that Arsenal and Loic Remy’s representatives are struggling to agree terms over a summer deal.

Talk of Remy’s potential move to Arsenal took a massive step forward towards the end of last season after he met Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger on several occasions, including an afternoon of talks during the game with West Bromwich Albion at the Emirates stadium.

The French striker enjoyed a fruitful spell with Newcastle United but returned from his loan spell to parent club Queens Park Rangers.

Negotiations have continued to develop with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger keen to add Remy alongside Olivier Giroud and new signing Alexis Sanchez, who completed his move on Thursday evening.

Following Alexis’s arrival, Wenger has now turned his attention back to Remy and has told Gunners officials to submit a new £10m bid, which is likely to be accepted by QPR.

But, it is understood that an agreement on personal terms is yet to be reached after the French striker demanded a near £80k per week to join the club.

Another Frenchman – Mathieu Debuchy is also set to arrive at the North London club after completed a medical last week and it is now thought that Wenger will have a serious last minute meeting regarding whether or not complete a move for Remy.
