Football Express Understands that Lazar Markovic has finally arrived in Liverpool to undergo a medical and complete his move to the Merseyside club.
The 20-year-old is set to join Brendan Rodgers’ side for a fee of £25m after both Liverpool and Benfica officials made a breakthrough in negotiations last weekend and he is now set to arrive in Merseyside to complete a medical in the coming hours.
Markovic was due to arrive last week in Merseyside but a last minute hitch saw his medical delayed. However, after saying goodbye and thank you the Portuguese side on social media, the forward is now set to complete his move to Anfield.
The talented forward will join Liverpool’s summer signings – Emre Can, Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana, who sealed their moves to the club last week.
Meanwhile, boss Brendan Rodgers is still confident that he can capture Dejan Lovren from Southampton in the coming weeks.
