Football Express News understands that Real Madrid’s Angel Di Maria has delayed a potential move to Manchester United as his agent looks for an alternative club, who plays Champions League football.
The Argentine winger is currently on international duty with his country and preparing to face Germany in the World Cup final but his future is continuing to be discussed amongst Spanish and English media.
Claims on Sunday morning had seen the former Benfica man linked with a move to Manchester United, with further claims that the winger had already agreed terms with Louis van Gaal’s side.
However, it is further understood that those claims are untrue with Di Maria instructing his agent to find a suitable club who will be playing Champions League football next season.
Di Maria has been playing at a consistently good level this season and his performances for Argentina at the World Cup have further gained his reputation.
Despite his form, Real Madrid are keen for him to leave after recent comments he made regarding compatriot and Barcelona forward Lionel Messi.
Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea have been linked in the past, whilst Chelsea are also amongst the interested clubs.
