Mourinho makes Pogba call

Pogba

Football Express News understands that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has made a call to Juventus regarding the services of Paul Pogba.

The French midfielder is due to return to Italy in the coming weeks after France were knocked out of the World Cup in Brazil but whether he stays with the Turin side is very much up for debate.

Spanish giants Real Madrid have shown heavy interest in recent months, although their move for Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos is now said to have ended that, leaving Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho in the driving seat to sign the young midfielder.

The Blues have already captured Cesc Fabregas this summer from Barcelona as Mourinho looks to improve his midfield options and add younger talent to his whole squad.

A fan of Pogba, Mourinho paid close attention to his development at Manchester United and he showed interest whilst he was coach of Real Madrid.

The Frenchman has played an important part in helping Juventus to their recent Italian title successes, but his determination to impress in the Champions League could see him move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
