Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target Adrian Lopez is set to complete his move from Atletico Madrid to FC Porto this weekend.

The Spanish forward struggled to maintain a starting place under Diego Simeone at Atletico last season and question marks over his future have developed over recent weeks with the likes of Arsenal, Spurs, Galatasaray and Inter Milan all linked.

However, it is now understood that the former Deportivo man is set to join Porto after being given permission from Atletico to speak to the Portuguese giants.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Adrian asked to travel back to Madrid from the club’s visit to America, where he is expected to undergo a medical with Porto ahead of the weekend.

The 26-year-old joined Atletico Madrid in 2011 and went on to become one of their most impressive performers, scoring an impressive 11 goals in the Europa League as the Spanish capital side reached the final.

However, his position in the starting eleven became doubted when Diego Costa returned to the club from injury problems and David Villa arrived from Barcelona last summer.
