Alexis Sanchez has discussed his move to Arsenal and his determination to bring success to the club’s fans next season.
The Chilean winger completed his £30m move to the Emirates stadium late on Thursday evening after agreeing terms with the Gunners earlier in the week.
Alexis was in superb form for Barcelona last season, finishing only second in terms of scoring and assists to Lionel Messi but his future became doubtful when new boss Luis Enrique began a summer overhaul.
His move to Arsenal sees him Arsene Wenger’s first summer signing and following his presentation in the club’s new kit, the former Udinese man spoke of his determination.
“I am so happy to join Arsenal,” he said on the club’s official website.
“A club that has a great coach, great players and a huge worldwide support and great stadium.
“I will do my best at Arsenal, I really want to meet my new teammates and play with the team in the Premier League and Champions League.
“I want to bring happiness to the fans.”
Arsenal are now set to follow the signing of Alexis with a move for Newcastle United right-back Mathieu Debuchy, who completed a medical earlier this week, whilst a summer move for French striker Loic Remy is also on the cards.
