Spanish daily AS report that Manchester United will submit a bid for Real Madrid forward Angel Di Maria.
The Argentina forward has been in superb form in the past year for both club and country, but his future at the Santiago Bernabeu remains in doubt with reports in Argentina and Spanish media saying that the former Benfica man wants to leave the club.
Reports in AS claim that Man United boss Louis van Gaal is ready to submit a bid in the region of £50m for Di Maria, but will face competition from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain.
Arsenal and AS Monaco have also been linked but it is thought that they are now pushing to sign other transfer targets.
AS also claim that recent comments made by Di Maria, which praised Lionel Messi have not gone down well with certain club members and Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo, making his future at the club hard to determine.
The paper also goes on to link Madrid with Monaco forward James Rodriguez, who they see as the perfect replacement for the Argentina international.
