Alexis Sanchez arrives in London for Arsenal move

Alexis Sánchez Chile

Football Express News understands that Alexis Sanchez will jet in to London on Monday morning to hold discussions over a move from Barcelona to Arsenal.

The Chilean winger has been strongly linked with a move to the Gunners since the start of the summer, despite having a superb season for La Liga giants Barcelona, which saw him finish only second to Lionel Messi in terms of goals and assists.

An impressive World Cup campaign for his country saw the former Udinese man further linked with a move to the Premier League, with the like of Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool all being credited with interest, whilst Serie A champions Juventus had held a long term interest.

Whilst, it is understood that ideally the former Udinese man would like to join Juventus due to his compatriot Arturo Vidal playing for the Turin club; question marks over Vidal’s future were thought to have changed the winger’s decision.

Alexis will hold talks through his agent Fernando Felicevich and Arsenal on Monday, although it is being heavily reported that the transfer fee of £32m has already been agreed between Barcelona and Arsenal.

Liverpool, who have been strongly linked are now seemingly out of the race after they agreed a fee for Benfica’s Lazar Markovic.
