The BBC has introduced a daily football quiz challenge inviting fans to identify a mystery World Cup player using as few clues as possible.
The game, titled Who Am I, tasks players with correctly guessing a footballer’s identity before running out of available hints.
Each incorrect guess unlocks a new clue, meaning the fewer attempts needed, the higher the score a player can achieve.
According to the format, three points is considered a good score, while four or five points is described as exceptional.
Today’s edition is the 17th instalment of the series, with the player and clues set by BBC Sport’s Huzaifah Khan.
The quiz is part of a broader push by BBC Sport to keep football fans engaged during the FIFA World Cup 2026 period.
Fans are encouraged to return daily, as a new mystery footballer is featured with each edition of the game.
The BBC has also made a range of other football quizzes available, including one asking fans to name every nation competing at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Another popular challenge asks users to identify top nations’ leading scorers, while a separate quiz tests knowledge of every club in the Premier League and EFL.
Fans can also test themselves on naming the ten Lionesses with the most England caps, adding variety beyond the World Cup theme.
The BBC encourages users to sign up for notifications through its dedicated Football Quizzes and Sports Quizzes pages to receive the latest challenges directly to their device.
With the World Cup generating enormous global interest, quizzes like these offer fans an interactive way to engage with the tournament beyond simply watching matches.
