Juventus have quietly informed Premier League clubs that full-back Andrea Cambiaso could be available this summer, triggering interest from Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool. TEAMtalk first broke the story, with multiple sources confirming that the Italian international’s situation is being monitored closely across the top end of English football.
Cambiaso is 26 years old and under contract until 2029, meaning Juventus are under no immediate pressure to sell. They are understood to be seeking a fee in excess of 60 million euros, though TEAMtalk also suggested that the club could accept a figure closer to 30 million pounds in the right circumstances, potentially making him one of the more accessible elite full-backs available this summer.
The appeal is obvious. Cambiaso has made close to 150 appearances for Juventus since arriving from Genoa in 2022, scoring eight goals and providing 17 assists from a defensive position. He is equally comfortable on either flank and capable of stepping into a more advanced role in systems that use inverted full-backs during build-up play. That adaptability has become a defining quality in modern football, and all three Premier League clubs value it for different reasons.
United’s interest makes tactical sense given the uncertainty around Luke Shaw, who has spent long periods injured and is now past his 30th birthday. Patrick Dorgu has been operating as a left winger rather than a full-back under the current setup, creating a gap that Cambiaso would fill with quality and experience. Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta views the Italian as a premium addition who could raise the ceiling of a squad already operating at a high level defensively.
Liverpool’s angle is different. Both Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez have had difficult first seasons at Anfield, and the club may want to add an experienced option who can offer reliability in a squad that is likely to look substantially different by September.
The complication is Juventus themselves. They have already resisted major interest from Manchester City in previous windows and retain significant contractual leverage. Any club serious about landing Cambiaso will need to commit fully and move early, before the Italian club reassess their own summer plans and decide whether selling him still aligns with their ambitions.
