The agent of Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne has confirmed that Arsenal have not made a bid, despite reports in English press.
The 23-year-old was in impressive form last season for Napoli, playing under form Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez and his performances have helped him gain a reputation that has seen the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Arsenal all show interest.
The latter of which were said to have made a bid, with English press stating that talks over a move were at an advanced stage and that another interested club – Liverpool, had no chance to sign him.
However, his agent, Fabio Andreotti, has told reporters that his client has received no bids.
“Future still at Napoli? Absolutely, we have had nothing from Arsenal. Lorenzo is a target of several European sides so it wouldn’t surprise me if big clubs are interested in him.
“However, Napoli don’t want to put him in the market.”
Meanwhile, Napoli officials are still fearful that an interested club will make a summer move for Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain and are waiting in anticipation for his return following the World Cup in Brazil.
