Barcelona set for second round of Suarez talks

Luis Suarez

Barcelona are set to hold a second round of talks with Liverpool on Thursday, following Wednesday’s talks in London.

The Catalan club flew into London on Wednesday morning and met with Anfield chiefs at the Grovesnor hotel, according to reports.

Talks over a summer move that will see banned Luis Suarez move to Camp Nou are now said to be at an advanced stage, whilst the future of Alexis Sanchez is said to have already been discussed between the clubs.

It is now understood that a deal could be announced as soon as next week for Suarez, pending authorisation from football’s governing body FIFA, who banned the Uruguayan striker for nine international games and four months of footballing activity.

Imma Puig, a female psychologist at Barcelona is ready to work with the former Ajax striker on his behaviour and that will be part of his contract, should he decide on joining the La Liga giants.

Alexis Sanchez, however, is still uncertain of where his future lies and will sit down to discuss his situation with Barcelona in the coming weeks, leaving there little chance of him being included in a deal for Suarez.

Arsenal are said to be extremely keen on the Chilean winger, who has in the past said he would like the chance to play English football.
