Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette has been offered to Arsenal for £21m, according to reports in France.

Confusion is raining at French football club Lyon after it was reported that striker Lacazette was offered to Arsenal late on Monday evening.

Club president Jean-Michel Aulas has been strong his desire to keep hold of the talented goalscorer this season, telling interested clubs to forget a summer move.

However,  a late phone call between Aulas and Wenger on Monday evening is said to have changed that stance.

Lacazette was in superb form last season, scoring 31 goals in 38 games for the Ligue 1 side.

Valued at £21m, Arsenal are now said to be toying with the idea of signing the 24-year-old.

Wenger already has a good amount of attacking options available to him next season, but would seemingly not pass on the opportunity to sign Lacazette and partner him with Olivier Giroud.
