Football Express News understands Paris Saint Germain officials held a meeting on Saturday about a move for Manchester United’s Angel Di Maria.

The French side have long been linked with the Argentine international, having failed to lure him to the Parc des Princes last summer, seeing him sign for Man United instead.

Di Maria’s form in English football has been questioned, however, leading to some reports that United boss Louis Van Gaal could sell this summer.

And, after being told by United officials that the Dutch boss would be willing to swap the winger for striker Edinson Cavani – PSG bosses have now held a meeting to make a decision on the matter.

Cavani was in superb form last season for the French side but it is no secret that his relationship with boss Laurent Blanc and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ‘not great’.

United have been linked with a move for the Uruguayan for some-time and the move could be the best option for both sides.
