Monaco are set to demand three Chelsea youngsters on loan as part of the deal to take Radamel Falcao to Stamford Bridge.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Nathan Ake and Andreas Christensen could all be set for Ligue 1 next season as part of the deal which will see Falcao join Chelsea this summer.
After a string of poor performances for United this season and a lack of playing time under Louis van Gaal, Falcao was sent back to Ligue 1 side Monaco earlier this week.
Having signed on a one-year loan deal last summer, the Colombian was fully expected to secure a permanent move to United, but failed to live up to their expectations, scoring just four goals.
Super agent Jorge Mendes has recently stated that the former Atletico Madrid striker would join an ‘elite’ club and it is understood that he is now working on a potential move to either Chelsea, where boss Jose Mourinho is very keen.
Mendes has close connections with Blues boss Mourinho after the latter’s time at Real Madrid and the Portuguese agent is now trying to convince him to sign Falcao and give him a chance in English football.
And, it is understood that the Falcao is now edging extremely close to a summer move to Stamford Bridge, where a £5m loan deal is said to have been agreed, pending Chelsea’s decision on the three talented youngsters.
