United and Chelsea target ‘to stay in Italy’

Manchester United and Chelsea target Paul Pogba will stay at Juventus for at least one more season, according to fresh reports in the Italian media.

TuttoSport claims the France international’s agent, Mino Raiola, has confirmed his client has a solid relationship with the Bianconeri and will remain with the Serie A champions for the 2014-15 campaign.

The report reveals that only a world record-breaking offer could even tempt the Turin giants into entering into a dialogue with Pogba’s suitors, but it appears almost certain that his immediate future is in Italy with Antonio Conte’s side.

He will now turn his attention to helping his side successfully defend their domestic title and also challenge for honours in the Champions League.

It comes as a major blow to rivals United and Chelsea, both of whom had hoped to lure the 21-year-old back to England during the summer transfer window.

Pogba left the Red Devils in the summer of 2012 after failing to break into the first-team under then-manager Sir Alex Ferguson, and he has since established himself as one of the hottest properties in European football.

He has two years remaining on his contract at Juve and is likely to be offered a lucrative extension.
