Arsenal are hoping to snap up Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda for £8.5 million, having already agreed a deal for keeper Petr Cech.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger scouted the youngster when he was 14 and has been a keen admirer ever since, watching him perform for Chelsea’s various youth sides.

Having agreed a deal for Cech earlier this week, Wenger now believes that the Blues will sell Musonda if he makes a solid bid of just under £10m.

Musonda, who also has interest from Marseille and Paris Saint Germain, refused to rule out a transfer this week when asked by press.

The French midfielder is highly expected to go on and become a France international.
