Southampton are closing in on a move for Cedric Soares and hope to seal a £3.5m deal by the end of the week, according to Southern Daily Echo.
The 23-year-old Portuguese international is set to sign a four-year deal with the Premier League club after a deal was agreed worth £3.5m.
Soares has come through the ranks with Sporting Lisbon and made his debut at just 19-years-old in 2010, before making impressive performances which have gained him three caps at senior level for Portugal.
The signing of Soares is set to be Southampton’s second in just under a week, after they completed a deal for Malaga forward Juanmi.
22-year-old Juanmi, was signed for a fee in the region of £5m, adding depth to Ronald Koeman’s already impressive looking front line.
