Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero has revealed he wants to sign Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma this summer.
The 20-year-old has just completed his first season at Stamford Bridge since joining from French side Saint Etienne last year.
Having impressed at centre-back and centre-midfield for Jose Mourinho’s side – Zouma is expected to play a big part in Chelsea’s future.
But, interest from Sampdoria is said to be testing Mourinho’s plans for the Frenchman.
“I already signed [Niklas] Moisander from Ajax and I am trying to get Zouma, because they are very physical players.” Ferrero told reporters at a book presentation in Amalfi.
Sampdoria have had dealings with Chelsea in the past, having signed Samuel Eto’o last summer.
