Fiorentina will not pay the £12 million Chelsea are demanding for Egyptian winger Mohammed Salah, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The speedy winger left Stamford Bridge in January to join the Italian side on a six month loan deal and was highly impressive, helping the Serie A side knock out Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League, before being eliminated in the semi-final to Sevilla.

The Egyptian is heavily regarded in Italy and was a fan favourite in Florence, but a permanent move has since not materialised after a demand of £12m from Chelsea.

Aged 22, Salah is not expected to be given a second chance at Stamford Bridge, despite his on-field performances for Fiorentina.

Salah, who left due to the arrival of Colombian Juan Cuadrado at Chelsea has cited a desire to impress Blues boss Jose Mourinho and it now seems that chance will come.
