Barcelona star Dani Alves has signed a pre-contract agreement with Manchester United and will move to Old Trafford on July 1 when his Barca deal expires, according to Daily Star.
Conflicting reports on the future of Barcelona defender Alves have emerged this week in both English and Spanish press.
The former claim in several media outlets that a deal with Louis van Gaal’s side has almost been completed, however, reports in Catalonia are claiming the Brazilian will sign a new deal to remain at Camp Nou beyond his expiring deal this summer.
Alves is free to move elsewhere come July 1st, but negotiations have been progressing well between himself and bosses at Barca.
Close friend Lionel Messi is said to have called on club bosses to do all they can to keep the former Sevilla star at the club, but claims in the Daily Star on Thursday have cited Alves signing a pre-contract with United.
United are desperate to improve their defensive options and see the Brazil international as a perfect summer signing.
