Arsenal halt Man United’s Colombian striker move

Arsenal are keen on signing Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca and have joined Manchester United with interest, according to A Bola.

The Red Devils want to bolster there attack, as off form Radamel Falcao is returning to parent club Monaco after an unsuccessful loan spell and we understand that negotiations have already started with the Europa League winners over a move for Bacca.

However, Arsenal have now joined the race to sign the talented striker having missed out on another Colombian – Jackson Martinez, who looks set to join Valencia.

Bacca managed to score two goals in the Europa league final on Wednesday night, which helped Sevilla win 3-2 on the night against Ukrainian club Dnipro, which secured a consecutive Europa league winners medal for the La Liga Side.

Italian sides AS Roma and AC Milan are also looking at a potential bid for Carlos Bacca, but it old Trafford looks the likely destination for the 28-year-old.

Sevilla are unlikely to sell for a cheap price and reports from Spain claim that they are asking for around £20m.
