West Ham make move for Frank De Boer

According to reports in the Daily Express, West Ham have made an approach to make Frank De Boer manager of their football club.

45-year-old Frank De Boer, has been manager at Ajax for five years winning the Eredivisie title four times in that period.

The former Barcelona defender has been linked previously with roles at Liverpool and Newcastle amongst other admirers of the young manager and his attention to detail and playing style.

West Ham have offered according to reports, De Boer £2m a year to become the new manager, which is a substantial increase on his current wages at Ajax.

Other managerial names are also still being mentioned such as Marcelo Bielsa and Slaven Bilic, but would appear currently the 112 capped Dutch international, Frank De Boer is their number one choice.

Writers View – De Boer has a strong reputation as a manager who believes in a method of attack and attractive football. He likes the ball to be passed on the floor and build play up from the back, much in the manner he himself played in the 1990’s and early 2000’s. With West Ham moving to the Olympic stadium in 2016-2017 season, having someone with the european and worldwide reputation of Frank De Boer could be a very good fit.
