Arsenal are set to complete a summer move for Porto striker Jackson Martinez, according to Daily Express.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will be keen to add to his attacking options ahead of next season as they plan to challenge for the Premier League title.
And Porto star Jackson Martinez appears a top transfer target after the striker told Colombian newspaper El Espectador last month that he will leave the club following three-years of service.
He said: “I have made it clear that my departure to a new club will surely happen next summer.
“Right now, I only focus on doing my job with Porto, but I’m ready to take the leap in the next window.”
The 28-year-old has also attracted attention from Premier League rivals Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United but it is now reported that the Gunners are ‘extremely’ close to sealing a £24.7m move.
Martinez comes with a bag of talent and is likely to push Olivier Giroud for a starting place at the Emirates stadium.
