Arsenal have been joined by Manchester United in their interest from French international Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to reports.

Since bursting on the scene for Spanish side Sevilla, Kondogbia has become one of the most promising footballers in Europe and has further impressed in Ligue 1 with Monaco.

The box-t0-box midfielder was one of Monaco’s most frequent players this season, featuring 23 times for Leonardo Jardim’s side.

But with his consistency and form has come many interested sides, including Arsenal, who have indicated the midfielder as a possible summer signing.

Arsene Wenger is said to be a big fan of the French international and has likened him to former Gunners star Patrick Vieira.

However, that interest is now joined by Man United, with whom boss Louis van Gaal is also a big fan of the midfielder.

United have struggled in the midfield area this season and have relied on Wayne Rooney to play a deeper role.
