Juventus fear Arsenal transfer tussle

Sanchez

Juventus know they face a major battle with Arsenal to secure the services of Barcelona attacker Alexis Sanchez, according to fresh reports in the Italian media.

As Football Express News reported last night, the north London outfit have made the Chile international one of their leading summer transfer targets.

And this morning Mundo Deportivo claimed Barca have told the Gunners they must stump up even more money for him in light of his impressive displays in the World Cup.

Italian source TuttoSport has now revealed that Turin giants Juve are fully aware that both Arsenal and Liverpool will fight them all the way in an attempt to land the 25-year-old, who suffered heartbreak on Saturday night when Chile exited the competition.

They lost to host nation Brazil in a penalty shoot-out after holding them to a 1-1 draw, in which Sanchez got his name on the scoresheet with a well-taken equaliser.

Catalan heavyweights Barca will, according to TuttoSport, bide their time in order to see how much money they can squeeze out of Sanchez’s suitors.

The forward, who has two years remaining on his contract at the Nou Camp, scored 19 goals in 44 appearances for Barca last term, helping them to secure second spot in the La Liga table.
