Eibar have been relegated from La Liga, despite beating a poor Cordoba side 3-0 on the final day of the season.
Eibar were set to keep there status in the Spanish top flight, ahead of Deportivo la Coruna,who at the time were loosing 2-0 to champions Barcelona.
However,Deportivos sudden fight back, saw them pull 2 goals back against Barcelona in the space of 10 minutes to make the score level, but more importantly send Eibar down.
Eibar, who were playing against an already relegated Cordoba, saw themselves go up 2-0 within the first 15 minutes of the game, the first goal coming from Arrubarrena, who glanced home a header from a fantastic cross, before Navas added another header to be in quite a comfortable position.
Eibar added another goal in the 35th minute, going into half time with a deserved 3-0 lead.
Two first half goals from Lionel Messi, seemed to more or less be securing safety for Eibar and send Deportivo down.
Then the unpredictable happened, 2nd half heroics from deportivo sunk the hearts of the Eibar players and fans,they found themselves no longer playing against the best teams in Europe.
