Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City could seal a loan deal for Barcelona’s Xavi Hernandez next season, according to Le Parisien.

The former Spanish international called an emotional end to his career with the Camp Nou outfit at the weekend, addressing the club’s fans in their last La Liga game of the season against Deportivo La Coruna.

Xavi, will go on to join Qatari side Al Sadd next season, but reports coming out of France claim that a move to Paris Saint Germain could happen before he embarks on a move to the Middle East.

PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi is brothers with the chairman of Al Sadd and it is understood that they are working on a deal which will suit all parties.

One problem, could be Manchester City’s interest, who also have ties to Qatar, and who are interested in the Barcelona midfielder, seeing a potential move like Frank Lampard’s as a possibility.
