PSG include Dutch defender in Man United winger loan deal

PSG are keen to make Angel Di Maria their first signing of the summer, and could include Gregory van der Wiel in a deal to prise the midfielder away from Manchester United.

Last summer saw Di Maria agree a deal to take him to Paris but due to Financial Fair Play regulations the deal fell through, opening the door to Manchester United. The £60million transfer to the Premier League was surrounded in excitement and expectation but the Argentine has failed to hit the ground running.
Di Maria has really struggled to make any real impact at Old Trafford this season but that has failed to put PSG off who have continued to monitor his situation. According the l’Equipe PSG are ready to launch another bid for the winger, using Gregory Van der Wiel to help secure the deal.
Louis van Gaal is very much in the market for a right-back, with the likes of Dani Alves being linked with the club. Van Gaal has also shown that his transfer policy centres around players he knows can do the job – Daley Blind and Memphis Depay being prime examples. Therefore, it would be no surprise if van Gaal opted to bring another Dutchman to Old Trafford.
