Arsenal will announce the signing of Arturo Vidal from Juventus following next month’s Copa America.
The Chilean midfielder has attracted interest from a number of Premier League and European clubs this season, with Manchester United extremely keen.
Liverpool have also been keen on the midfielder, choosing him as a potential replacement for Steven Gerrard, who leaves for LA Galaxy this summer.
However, it now appears like Vidal could be set to join Arsenal after holding talks with fellow countryman and close friend – Alexis Sanchez over a summer move to the Emirates.
Vidal shares the same agent as Sanchez and the 28-year-old has been told by Juventus that he would be allowed to leave, should a club pay the right amount this summer.
According to DirecTV journalist Hernan Feler, Arsenal have already won the race for Vidal’s signature and his latest tweet seems to confirm the midfielder’s arrival to England.
He said: “After the Copa America in Chile, it will be made official the arrival of Arturo Vidal to Arsenal. Everything is closed. Alexis [Sanchez] will partner him.”
