Man United closing in on Real Madrid keeper Navas

Manchester United have identified Real Madrid stopper Keylor Navas as a replacement for David De Gea, according to Goal.com.

De Gea’s future at Old Trafford looks set to come to an end in the coming weeks as super agent Jorge Mendes begins crunch talks with both Man United and Real Madrid officials.

Whilst some reports claim the Spaniard will remain in England, it is firmly expected that he will return to the Spanish capital and replace Iker Casillas.

United boss Louis van Gaal has been forced to identify a number of potential replacements with Chelsea’s Petr Cech and Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris linked.

Van Gaal is also keen on Costa Rican keeper Navas, who impressed against his Netherlands side in the World Cup last summer.

The former Levante keeper has failed to push past Casillas at the Santiago Bernabeu is expected to be sold this summer for a fee of around £7m.
