Juventus have renewed their interest in signing Radamel Falcao after he left Manchester United on Sunday evening, reports Tuttosport.

It has been a season to forget in the much heralded career of Colombian striker Radamel Falcao.

Forced to play for Man United‘s U21 side and receiving very little playing time under Louis van Gaal, the former Atletico Madrid forward has scored just four goals in all competitions.

Having signed on a one-year loan deal last summer, the Colombian was fully expected to secure a permanent move to United, but the club confirmed on Sunday evening that he had now been returned to Ligue 1 club Monaco.

Super agent Jorge Mendes has recently stated that the former Atletico Madrid striker would join an ‘elite’ club and it is understood that he is now working on a potential move to either Chelsea or Liverpool.

However, Juventus are reportedly making good ground to sign the striker, having picked up on his desire to try Italian football.

Juve’s interest does prompt further speculation that Carlos Tevez will indeed call time on his career in Turin after the Champions League final.
